Julia Pierson

Julia Pierson is an experienced federal law enforcement executive and a former Director of the United States Secret Service. During her tenure at the agency, Ms. Pierson was involved in the security and recovery efforts following the Oklahoma City bombing, the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington D.C., and the Boston Marathon Bombing.
From these personal experiences, Ms. Pierson has advocated and implemented crisis intervention and employee assistance programs within the Secret Service to support first responders exposed to traumatic incidents. Ms. Pierson would like to ensure support services are made available to journalists covering violence and tragedy.
Beyond her law enforcement expertise, Ms. Pierson is a principal at Guardian Data Analytics and Tactical23 Partners, providing security consulting services to government and commercial enterprises. Ms. Pierson frequently lectures on crisis and threat management practices to senior government and business executives, including the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative at Harvard University.
Ms. Pierson supports several national charitable organizations including Concern of Police Survivors, supporting families of officers killed in the line of duty, and law enforcement exploring youth programs.
